Meet Luke
I’ve spent most of my life in the Pioneer Valley: I grew up in Amherst, attending Amherst Regional Public Schools, and now I live in Northampton’s Ward 5.
I come from a background of working-class organizing and political economy, having worked in biochemistry labs, retail and now as a barista.
With our public schools in crisis, our democratic process under attack and war profiteers operating in city limits, I believe we can do more to live up to Northampton’s progressive values. This September and November, we can make sure public needs and public services come first. Let’s get to work!

My Platform
Donald Trump and the MAGA movement are trying to take a sledgehammer to our public institutions and our civic life. Now more than ever, it is crucial that we fight back with a consistent democratic approach, building on the proud legacies of social progress in Northampton.

Defending Public Services
Our democracy depends on robust public institutions and the workers who make them possible. I’m running to restore the essential jobs and services in our public schools that have been needlessly cut in previous budgets.

Standing Up to Corporate Power
Working people are the bedrock of Northampton, and the war economy is a threat to all of us. If elected, I will work to establish a Labor Standards Commission to strengthen and ensure respect for labor laws, and seek avenues to remove war profiteers from our city.

A Voice for Democracy
Our city works best when the people have a voice in the decision making. I will push for popular participation in budgets and city issues, with an emphasis on budget town halls and constituent engagement.
